Hitachi Data Systems Storage Manager – Business Continuity Enterprise Exam (HH0-330)

This test will certify that the successful candidate has knowledge of Business Continuity solutions running on Hitachi Data Systems TagmaStore® storage systems.

This test covers data replication tools including Hitachi ShadowImage™ In-System Replication software, Copy-on-Write Snapshot software and Hitachi TrueCopy™ Remote Replication software. The test covers the specifications of each product and the related deployment considerations. Also included are tools and techniques available for implementation and setup, management and operations.

Storage manager is a strategy-based position involved with planning and solution architecture as well as a tactical position involved with the execution of storage networking operations. Storage managers are responsible for planning, allocating storage, architecting storage layouts, planning connectivity, policy design, performance tuning, instituting disaster recovery processes, cataloging maintenance and QA testing.

Storage managers need a knowledge of servers, operating systems, file systems, operations, disk drives, Fibre Channel, virtualization in storage systems, fabric and host, applications, host bus adapters, and interconnect hardware. They also need a general knowledge of storage network concepts and interoperability of storage networking.

Day-to-day activities include storage provisioning, performance tuning, adding volumes, scripting for automation of tasks, assigning ports, error tracking, data movement, software configurations, product evaluation, message delivery system, and addressing compatibility issues.

Prerequisite: HDS Certified Professional credential

To earn the HDS Certified Storage Manager, a candidate must pass one of the Hitachi Data Systems Storage Foundations certification exams in addition to passing this exam.
