Okami joined Hitachi Data Systems in 2008 following a term as president of the Disk Array Systems Division at Hitachi, Ltd.
Okami
leads a global re-engineering group with a primary focus on supply
chain and process improvements between Hitachi Data Systems and
Hitachi, Ltd. His team also promotes further integration between the
two organizations and fosters increased communication among key teams.
Okami is a member of the Hitachi Data Systems Executive Committee.
Okami
joined Hitachi, Ltd. in 1980 and held various positions in storage
development. In 2004, he was named the general manager of RSD’s
Strategic Business Planning Group and later that year assumed the role
of RSD’s Storage Systems Development GM. In October 2005, he was named
president of the Disk Array Systems Division.
